Rondo Music has changed their SST line for the new SX Hawk line. It is still made with great quality, though the headstock changed from looking similar to a Fender strat, to Rondo's own sleek design. The necka are still made with great tone woods and the same great craftsmanship.
Prices on most things, including guitars, have understandibly risen. However, I don't know how Rondo does it, the least expensive SX Hawk is $79.95. Less than $80 and comes with a gig bag. That's chea... I can't refer to these guitars as 'cheap'!

Um... $89.95? What are you thinking Kurt?
You know... I've been pricing guitar necks and bodies recently, and you can't even find a cheap neck with any quality for $89. And, to sweeten this guitar deal, this neck is even bound AND comes with a skunk stripe... You could probably buy one of these beautiful guitars and part it out for more than you paid. Not that I would suggest that, though. Buy it, tweak the setting to your liking, and replace the tuners, and your good to go. If you want a different sound, replace the pickups with a nice set of GFS from HERE.

No, really... I honestly don't understand how you can hand these great guitars out for this freeky-low price! I already have too many strats, but if I didn't, I'd have 4 of these for the price of a genuine Fender MIM Strat from the local music store! Shoot, I could get 2 strats and 2 teles from Rondo for the price of a low end strat or tele! Drop the order by 2 and I could really upgrade the hardware and electronics to my satisfaction!

OK, what could be better than a nice slab of mahogany? How about a nice slab of mahogany with a couple of P-90s nestled in their place? Hmmm? How about that! Then mix in a nice dose of Stop-Tail bridge work and you have a dream axe. Specially made for people (like me) who tend to avoid the trem bridges. No upgrade needed here! Slap in some new tuners and you are good to go with this absolutely spectacular tone monster! Gitcha One (or two)!

Only $119.95! How can Rondo do it and still survive in their business?
I'm in love with these SX guitars in case you couldn't tell! Ash body, creamy ceramic humbuckers = vintage tone! I have the SX GG1, Dave has the SX SJM-62, I've even owned a tele copy, and loved it. I sold it to a guy here in Austin, who dropped a better pickup in it, only after doing my own DIY mods (Fender MIM neck) and dreaming of another project... That's how we evolved here. It's literally one thing (guitar, amp, effect, bass) after another around here!
