Reverse Control Plate

When I built my custom Fender Telecaster project guitar, I decided to reverse the control plate to accomodate my playing style. So, I put the pickup selector switch toward the tail of the guitar, the volume level control toward the neck and the tone control in the middle.

The reason for my telecaster wiring mod was to provide the reverse control plate. You see, the standard telecaster switch with its giant top-hat style switch tip, well... it sticks out about four feet, and I found myself getting lost in the moment of some super-amazing guitar lick I was about to come up with and ... "whack!" The tone changed, threw me off, and the insanely-ultimate-guitar-lick was, sadly ... gone forever.

Of course I'm kidding, however, I did find the switch position in the standard telecaster control plate layout to be in the way...
